Refund policy

Clear rules so you can buy with confidence and we can keep things sustainable.

1. Scope

This policy applies to purchases made on kotomori.app and to Mac desktop apps sold through Paddle (our payment provider).

iOS and iPad in-app purchases are governed by Apple's refund policy and must be requested through Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com — we cannot process those refunds on your behalf.

2. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with a paid pack or license purchased through Paddle, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date.

No reason is required. The refund is issued to the original payment method via Paddle.

3. When refunds are not available

Refund requests submitted more than 14 days after purchase.

Cases where the entitlement has already been substantially consumed (e.g. you have completed more than 30% of a kanji pack's exercises). "Substantial use" is judged in good faith from your usage data.

Repeat refund requests for the same product after a previous refund was granted.

Bundles (e.g. nazori "zenbu" all-in pack) where you have already received a refund for any of the included sub-packs.

4. Subscriptions

If we introduce subscription products, you may cancel from My Account → Billing at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period.

You will retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. How to request a refund

Email daichi1783@gmail.com with the email address used at purchase, the product name, and (if available) your Paddle transaction ID. We will reply within 5 business days.

Alternatively you can request a refund directly from the receipt email Paddle sent you after the purchase.

6. Processing time

Once approved, refunds are processed by Paddle within 5–10 business days. The exact time it takes for the credit to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer or bank.

7. Chargebacks

If you have an issue, please contact us first — we are quick to refund legitimate cases. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending investigation.
